Rev. Jeff CaithamerMusic Director: Keith Williams


 

Rev. Jeff Caithamer

Pastor Caithamer was born and raised in Southern California.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Concordia University in Irvine, California in 2002.  Pastor Caithamer continued his education at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri and received his Master of Divinity degree in June of 2006.  In August of that year, he was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry and installed as pastor at Light of the Valley Lutheran Church in Valley Center, California.

In August of 2009, Pastor Caithamer was called to be associate pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in Champaign, Illinois, where he continues to serve as pastor

In October of 2005, Pastor Caithamer married Katie in St. Louis, Missouri where her family resides.  Pastor and Katie have been blessed with three children: Magdalen (Maggie), Joshua (Josh), and Lydia.  When the weather is nice, you can find the Caithamers outside enjoying God’s creation by playing with neighborhood kids and walking down to the park.  And they cherish the time they get to spend with their family, their friends, and their brothers and sisters in Christ at St. John.  Pastor Caithamer’s personal hobbies include reading, golf, tennis, watching sports, TV shows, and movies.

 

Keith Williams

Keith Williams

Keith Williams has been Organist at St. John Lutheran Church since 2000, also serving as Choir Director since 2007, conducting the Alleluia Ringers, Men's Choir and Adult Mixed Choir, and coordinating with the school and youth choir directors in planning music with the Pastors for all Worship services at St. John.Keith also serves as the Sales Director at Buzard Pipe Organ Builders in Champaign, A nationally-known team of technicians in all aspects of their restoration, renovation, relocation, and pipe organ maintenance work.

Keith is a member and past Chapter Dean of the American Guild of Organists, as well as an active member of the The Organ Historical Society, the American Theater Organ Society, and the American Institute of Organbuilders.


Keith is a graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, where he majored in organ performance.

Keith is past President of the Board of Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana (BACH) an organization dedication to historically informed performances of the Music of Bach, Handel and other Baroque composers.

Keith and his wife Judith are the parents of four children.
